‘Quiet Observer, Collagist and Colourist’
Amy was born and bred in Essex, deciding recently to re-establish her fine art practice in her childhood home, Chelmsford, after global travels and a diverse career in arts education.
Her career has taken a range of directions, each one referring closely to the use of arts for contemplative engagement. Her aim is to continue to support projects that raise the profile of emerging artists, makers and designers whilst offering opportunities for everyone to engage with interactive, site-specific curiosities encompassing painting and sensory experience.
She now bases herself at the Hive Artist Studios, but continues to undertake intensive periods of travel, recently spending 2015 living in ‘Quake City’, Christchurch, New Zealand where she observed the art of ‘reconstruction’,whilst building a house. 2016 brings a new direction to her work, with Amy intending to infuse her love for the Antipodean way of life with all new developments moving forward. She is back in the studio, researching new ventures, experimenting with ideas and seeking her next career challenge.
